What's Ahead In '98?
Astrologers say trends for the year are set in the stars. So DOG FANCY MAGAZINE asked Nancee Belshaw, MA, MFT a Los Angeles astrologer and psychotherapist specializing in astrology for pets, to gaze into 1998. Find your dog's astrology sign to see what the year holds.
Aries (March 21 - April 20):
Your pet will be very energetic. It will be into many new things, possibly starting trouble with other pets, a natural born leader.
Taurus (April 21 - May 21):
Keep the food bowl away from these overeaters this year. This is a good
year to sign them up for training classes, because they will be very
stubborn without a direction.
Gemini (May 22 - June 22): Training these dogs not to bark is your big headache for 1998. Teach them to bark on your command to lessen unwanted noise.
Cancer (June 23 - July 23):
Not the happiest when left alone this year. Give them hugs and many hours of petting to lessen this year's tendency toward insecurity. They do love their family and home. Very protective of the family. A great watch dog!
Leo (July 24 - August 23):
These puppies are very happy to sit in the sun and lounge this year. Gives them lots of praise to ensure their kingly caretaking of the family.
Virgo (August 24 - September 23): Make sure they are clean and healthy. Health can be a problem without the right food and vitamins for these overly finicky eaters
Libra
(September 24 - October 23):
These guys need a good balance of fun, sleep and work. Don't let their
charming nature get them out of the trouble they cause.
Scorpio
(October 24 - November 22): A very fertile year, this just might be the year to breed these pups. Check their hiding places for items you thought you misplaced.
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 22):
Check the gate is closed and secure. You don't want your pet to travel the
neighborhood this year.
Capricorn (December 23 - January 19): These
dogs will benefit from a good workout. How about a trick class? Keep
them occupied, or they might busy themselves with digging.
Aquarius
(January 20 - February 18):
Are you thinking of getting a second pet? This year is good for buying a
companion for this highly social zodiac sign.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20):
Check their feet for cuts and burrs. If they have had a very busy day, a
good bath would soothe their tired feet.
